Do you Tweet because you have an iPhone or do you get an iPhone because you want to Tweet? Between Twitterific and Tweetie, it is hard to say which is better, but if you Tweet at all, you’ll need either of them. Now you can inundate your friends with incessant updates on what you’re doing.

Not surprisingly, this is the top free social networking application available. If you already have a Facebook account, you will no problems navigating this app.

Gone are the days where you marked a mysterious “X” on the calendar every month. Strictly for women only, this app helps you record when it’s that time of the month. All you do is tap on the start date of your period and it marks out your cycle in pink (choose a standard cycle or customise it). It will calculate your next expected period, ovulation and fertility dates. Set an alert so you will never be caught without a tampon or pad in your bag. For those with painful periods or unusual symptoms, you can record your moods, spotting, and cramp severity levels – which will come in handy, should you ever need to see a doctor about it.

This app helps you keep track of your pregnancy, along with your doctor. Once your due date is entered, the app will keep track of the gestational age of the baby, and countdown to the remaining days to delivery. Handy information about the baby’s growth each week and a name picker keeps your mind busy as your nesting tendencies grow.

If a diet didn’t help you to lose that post-festive season weight, then this program just might. This award-winning app enables you to record key statistics such as keep track of your weight, blood pressure, and activities at all times. Find out which sport will get you to burn more energy and keep on track with your exercise regime.

For the fashionista, Style.com’s own app is a fashion runway in the palm of your hand. You will be filled in on the season’s latest trends and looks.

For the fashion insider, the Gilt Groupe offers the hippest of the hip brands at great prices — but sale only opens at a particular hour GMT and you’ll be racing with hipsters the world over to get that McQ dress at a steal! This app sends you sales alerts on the go, so you can be the first (or almost first) to grab that bargain.
Can’t decide where to eat? HungryGoWhere’s app from the popular local review site saves you from arguing where to go for date night.

Are you one of those people who can’t get to work until you’ve written a killer to-do list? If you’re fussy about how you organise your tasks, then you will love Awesome Note. The different tabs help you categorise your tasks and you can customise how it looks with different folder icons, fonts and paper backgrounds. With Awesome Note, you can keep notes simple with a post-it style memo, or complex with photo attachments.
Your husband’s just told you the boss is coming for dinner, and you’re at the supermarket deciding what to cook. The “DinnerSpinner” function narrows down what you can turn out according to dish type, ingredients and time. As with the website, the recipes are community-rated so you can never go wrong.

One of the highest grossing game apps, this is popular with many women. Play a better game in landscape mode.

Run a virtual spa and see what it takes to make money selling beauty products, giving facials and massages. A bit like Tamagotchi, but much more stylish.

I found this article really interesting in that it does give the readers some ideas the kinds of applications that are available and what is expected of these applications. It is enlightening and is full of resourceful ideas.
I love my iphone because it enhances my skills in the use of technology. When I am on the move, I can tweet, post on my blogs and facebook and everything else that I normally do on my laptop. All these are made possible because this smart phone has so many applications available for us to use.

how about the price ??
I bought an iPhone around a year ago and I must say that the apps have changed the way I do my online banking, book flights and chat to friends. Almost everything can be done online now and with increasing wi-fi connectivity in cafes, transport and other public spaces, I can get things done while on the move. The TomTom online iphone app listed on http://www.dozeniphone.com has revolutionized my driving experience. I feel that the Tom Tom GPS is one of the best on the market.
Yes I agree! The iPad isn’t a phone but it’s also a revolutionary product that makes reading, watching clips and surfing quite an extraordinary experience! Watch this space for a review soon!
